Part 2: Book Review- Twilight Series/Stephenie Meyer

Part 2 of this book review will talk about Twilight only because it has Vampires in it.
Book 1: Twilight
I will admit, I actually enjoyed this book. The author had a clear voice and direction for the characters. It was something different from a typical vampire story where it could be told to kids and not scar them for life. It is also a good sign of a well developed story when you could go through and take out any reference of Vampires and the story will stand up as being interesting.
Over all this was the best written book of the series hands down.
Book2: New Moon
Overall this is where i find fault with the series. the authors voice changed. there are good parts but it almost feels like to much teenage angst. This book doesnt push the story forward, which if its a series, thats what a new book should do, right?
This book could be skipped if you were in a rush to read through this series.
Book 3: Eclipse
This was the second best book of the series. The voice of the author matured and the story actually moved forward into where it needed to go to grow. If you were to read only two books from the series then i would say read book 1 then book 3 and you would have a complete story.
Finally book 4: Breaking Dawn
Kill it! Kill it!
Has to be one of the worst books written. It feels rushed, it feels like a second thought. I really believe that the twilight series was suppose to be a trilogy but the success of it all make her want to pop out another book. The Story doesnt make any sense, and really this is where i was turned off from Stephenie Meyer as an author.

Dont believe me? I tried reading her other book
I kid you not, i read maybe 7 pages and i just couldnt take it any more. And you know what? Im still able to live my life.

So what have we learned?
1. Not All the Twilight books are bad.
2. Stephenie Meyer lost her way as an author
3. That there is a reason i didnt mention the movies (movie post maybe?)
